The Final Page

The Final Page

One last page to sum up a life,
to drink up my ink.
One last page to leave to the world,
to express what I think.

Life flashes by in a series of blinks.
Yesterday my face was bright,
my skin was tight.
Today here I sit,
waiting out my last night.

I've said my goodbyes,
though there were few.
For I know I'll be gone by the sun and the dew.

I leave no regrets,
no worries or debts.
It's now time for me leave,
don't fear it's for the best.
Now please excuse me,
I don't mean to be rude,
but it is time for my final rest.
